Mother's Day - What to make

Remember when we were kids, on mother’s day, we used to make our own cute little presents for her?  While not all of us are art prodigies, mom was always content with whatever we made for her; treating it as the best present in the world. If this connects to you and you think there is something special in hand-made presents money just can’t buy, why don’t you give yourself another chance by making her something crafty again this year? The most thoughtful gifts are usually the most inexpensive gifts so money should not be the problem on this occasion.

Hand-made by you

We think cooking your own home-made strawberry jam is a great idea. It’s easy and almost fail-safe if your follow closely our video instructions. Not only does it make for a thoughtful present, it is also a healthy alternative to the pre-made jams sitting in our fridge. If you really want to step it up, you can decorate your own jars and and get your hands dirty again the way we used to do when we were a kid.

It’s easier than you think

If you really, really want to step it up and impress Mom- show her your money saving skillz by re-purposing the jar when the jam is done by using The $5 bill jar strategy. Learn more about this here. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
