ConsumerReports top 10 cars that will make it to 200K miles

The good people at ConsumerReports have rolled out a report (for consumers) on the top 10 cars that will last 200K miles. There is a subscription paywall to view it, but we’ve done the legwork and are ready to report their expert findings.

That’s a huge number of clicks to put on your car, whether you’re measuring things on the imperial or metric system. Just in case, here’s the breakdown: 321,868.8km – but 200,000 miles sounds a whole lot better. I like round numbers, ok?

Toyota, Honda and Lexus bring the value on this list. Let’s get into the list:

10 best value cars, rated by ConsumerReports

  • Honda Civic
  • Honda CR-V
  • Honda Element
  • Lexus ES
  • Lexus LS
  • Toyota 4Runner
  • Toyota Highlander
  • Toyota Land Cruiser
  • Toyota Prius
  • Toyota RAV4

The report brings a ton more detail, but that’s the bones of it. CR touts these reliable makes as the best ways to get the highest value possible out of your automobile. While some of the items might be a bit pricier than competition – they’ll bring you out ahead in the long run.
